Second day

After such a start in Vietnam we were wondering if we could do better on Tuesday. Our plan was to rent motorbikes and to hang around Sapa on our own. However when we woke up it was raining and the problem was it wasn't stopping. We decided to do it anyway....

Sapa

We arrived at Loa Cai’s train station around 5am, took a bus to Sapa for 25,000d and arrived in Sapa 1hour later. Once again our Southeast Asia Lonely Planet was usefull: we were looking for a place to stay and one of the hotel was described as having...

Going to Sapa

We decided to go to Sapa on Sunday's night, just after landing. We had to go downtown (the airport is 30kms away from Hanoi) and things started well... We took a cab that told us that he'll run the meter because it would make the fare cheaper than paying...

By the way...

I'd like to describe what we had for lunch on Sunday in Hanoi before going back to study. We went to a restaurant where we had to sit on mats (the table was not more than 50cm high, simply imagine a traditionnal Japanese restaurant even thought it wasn't...

back from Vietnam

I came back from Vietnam this morning around 1am. What I can tell you is that it's quite depressing to go to school and study after such a week. We've done (Thomas and me) everything at the very last minute like booking our train ticket to Sapa in Hanoi's...
